Privacy Policy
This Policy explains how CV Forge, currently available at CV4G.com, handles personal information. Resume data can be sensitive. Please read this Policy before submitting information about yourself or another person.
Information we collect
We collect account details such as email address and password credentials; profile and resume content such as work history, education, skills, contact details, photographs, target roles, and projects; recruiter and candidate relationship data; billing identifiers, subscription status, and invoice records; messages sent through support forms; and technical information such as IP address, request identifiers, browser information, security logs, and service usage.
Payment information
Stripe processes checkout and payment credentials. CV Forge does not receive or store your complete card number or card security code. We receive identifiers, payment status, invoice amounts, receipt links, and subscription information needed to provide paid access and support billing.
How we use information
We use information to create and maintain accounts; generate, store, export, and share resumes at your direction; support recruiter collaboration; provide billing and customer support; send transactional messages; detect abuse and secure the Service; diagnose errors; comply with legal obligations; and understand and improve product performance.
AI-assisted features
When you request an AI-assisted analysis, relevant resume and job-description content may be sent to the configured AI provider, currently OpenAI, to produce the requested result. Do not submit information that is unnecessary for the analysis. AI features are optional and their output may be incomplete or inaccurate.
Service providers and disclosures
We may share information with vendors that operate the Service, including Stripe, Amazon Web Services, OpenAI when AI features are used, and configured monitoring providers such as Sentry. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud, or complete a business transaction. We do not sell personal information or use resume data for third-party advertising.
Public and recruiter sharing
A resume marked as shared is available to people with its link. Information assigned to a recruiter is accessible according to the permissions shown in the Service. Review resume content and sharing status before distributing a link or approving recruiter access.
Retention
We retain account and resume data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for recovery, security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Billing and audit records may be kept longer where required. Backup copies expire through normal backup rotation.
Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, encrypted integration secrets, rate limits, monitoring, and other safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
Your choices and rights
You may update much of your information in the Service, disable public sharing, manage billing through Stripe, and request account access, correction, export, or deletion through support. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children
CV Forge is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Users must also meet any higher minimum age required where they live.
International processing and changes
Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. We may update this Policy as the Service changes and will post the revised effective date.
